Redmond SD reports compliance with Oregon Division 22 assurances; updates given on RSDFlex and middle-school PE

Linda Seeberg, assistant superintendent, told the board that the Redmond School District is in compliance with the Oregon Administrative Rules, Chapter 581, Division 22, for the 2023–24 school year. She outlined the district’s obligations to post a Community Report by Nov. 1 and to submit the Elementary and Secondary Schools Assurance Form to the Oregon Department of Education by Nov. 15, 2024.
Seeberg reviewed two areas previously reported out of compliance: first, the independent adoption of instructional materials for RSDFlex — the board approved Pearson Connexus instructional materials for RSDFlex at its May 29, 2024 meeting; second, the physical education requirement for grades 6–8 — middle-school master schedules and elective rotations were modified so each student averages at least 150 minutes of P.E. per week over the school year. The board acknowledged the 2022–23 Division 22 Assurances as presented.
