Board Chair Pollie Carter said the community is “behind on our charges of the assessments” and proposed increasing the quarterly assessment to $125 to shore up water-system funding. Mike recommended the board present any proposed increase at the annual meeting so residents can vote on it.
Judy said she would ask Jessica at Unit #2 whether the board has the legal authority to raise assessments and suggested consulting an attorney if necessary. The board sought ways to inform residents without unduly alarming them and discussed the timing of any required notice or vote.
