Bruce Mello, the town's Building Commissioner and a Selectboard member, reviewed the BMH Annex insulation project chronology and explained mitigation measures to address public concerns. He said cellulose insulation would be placed only above the ceiling, and for foam applied in the crawl space the plan is to use Tyvek as a releasing agent so the foam could be removed if needed. Board members indicated they were not in favor of reversing the prior decision to hold off on additional work until the town makes broader decisions about town buildings.
Mello also recommended cleaning windows at the School Building (including storm windows) and provided a cost estimate of $2,060 for three days of work from the contractor who cleans the Town Office and Round Schoolhouse; he asked the Selectboard to consider approving the work at the next meeting.
