Council approved the purchase and planting of three shade trees in Watkins Park with a budget not to exceed $2,500. The motion was moved by President Graziano and supported by Jones and carried unanimously.
During board reports, Parks and Recreation reported a need for mulch at Dillard Park playground and said Timbertown repairs at Watkins Park were delayed because a second bid had not been secured; the vendor was asked to break the work into separate jobs under $5,000 to avoid the second-bid requirement. Treasurer Jones noted Prez’s Painting will provide a quote for power washing and staining.
