The Colstrip City Council adopted Resolution 2025-R17 to levy assessments on properties within city limits to help cover the cost of solid-waste collection services. A council member asked for the public record to note that the 96-gallon rate has not been increased, and the mover closed debate before the roll-call vote.
"It's my understanding that we haven't never increased the rates on on the 96 gallon 1," a council member said during discussion; another member confirmed that the rate had not been raised. The clerk recorded ayes from Kutser, Rosander, Dudley and Hanser and the resolution was approved.
