The Colstrip City Council approved the preliminary fiscal year 2025–26 budget after a brief motion and roll-call vote.
Council member (voice 6) moved to approve the preliminary FY2025–26 budget and the motion was seconded; the clerk recorded affirmative votes from council members Rosander, Ketser, Dudley and Hanser. The mayor announced, “That is approved.”
Council members and staff said the budget funds planned capital improvements and prepares the city to pursue outside grant reimbursements when eligible. The mayor noted the city is working to finalize financial reports by the end of the calendar year and will be audited in March. No amendments were made at the meeting and staff will proceed with implementing the approved budget.
