District Counsel reported conflicting assertions about maintenance responsibility for the road west of U.S. 41: the Village of Estero said it does not need to maintain the road while District Counsel and Mr. Pires said they believe the Village owns the road and Mr. Pires will send a letter to the Village and County Counsel stating that position. Mr. Willis said he previously emailed Johnson Engineering documents that confirm ownership-related details.
Mrs. Adams presented MRI Construction's Proposal #514 to repair driveway damage within the CDD easement at 21320 Pelican Sound Drive. The minutes state MRI credited the CDD $10,500 toward a $22,500 project and the Board approved the proposal for $12,000 on motion by Mr. Merrill and seconded by Mr. Schultz, with all in favor. The Board also discussed wetland plug repairs, mangrove trimming, and the need for survey staking before trimming conservation areas.
