Oak Run resident urges River Ridge to fund Lake 8 drainage fixes; Board to consider in next budget

Rich Batterberry of Oak Run told the Board residents favor the recent Seaside work and are asking for similar regrading around Lake 8 to address ponding that has, he said, led to water getting under foundations and to at least one homeowner incurring significant mitigation costs. "Residents are asking the Board to consider something similar," Batterberry said.
District Engineer Charlie Krebs reviewed the scope of work performed at Seaside and said because the area was never re-graded, similar work could address Lake 8 issues. Chair Bob Schultz said the matter would be considered during the Fiscal Year 2025/2026 budget process and asked staff to include cost estimates for Board review.
