The Presenter told the board Newton County Schools held a full-day event for school leaders and welcomed "over 200 new teachers" through the district's orientation program. The presenter said those sessions included hands-on curriculum planning, classroom management and instructional strategies to prepare educators for the school year.
The Presenter also previewed Teach for Tomorrow, the district's professional learning conference: "More than 700 teachers will participate" in sessions focused on technology integration, instructional innovation and collaboration, the presenter said. The district said the conference is intended to help teachers effectively integrate technology into classroom instruction.
