Council members and residents discussed recent storm-related power problems on a shared circuit. The mayor (speaker 1) reported that FirstEnergy/CEI performed a splice and a large tree-trimming operation on a related circuit and that the utility's engineering team is analyzing voltage data. "The trimming will definitely help," the mayor said, adding the utility has been asked for an ETA on the analysis.
Council members also raised neighborhood broadband and fiber questions; speakers noted that developers do not always install underground fiber and that provider deployment often depends on customer density, underground costs and pole access. No new municipal funding or infrastructure program was approved during the meeting.
