Council members reviewed a report from engineering firm KLJ documenting ongoing work on a town project. A council member told colleagues that KLJ's submission included roughly 300 photographs and that while work is under way some completion tasks remain: "If they get after it, I'm gonna say, I'm hoping for a couple weeks, and they will be done with everything else pretty much," the member said, later noting "we haven't finished the substantial completion yet."
The council member also said the mayor lowered a previously requested amount to 30% or 31% of the cost and that the change was accepted. The exchange emphasized remaining tasks and the expectation that completion could be achieved in the near term depending on contractor progress. No formal acceptance of final completion was recorded in the meeting, and the council held the contractor to the outstanding items listed in the KLJ observations.
