After several prior meetings and revisions, the Pearson Town Council on Aug. 19 approved a field‑user agreement (also referred to as a field-user/donation agreement) with the Northwest Volusia Little League. Town attorney Scott Simpson reviewed revisions to the draft agreements and said language was added to better specify routine maintenance responsibilities (cleaning, lining bases) while distinguishing larger repairs likely to remain the town’s responsibility.
Little League representatives told the council they want to avoid overextending limited donation funds but are prepared to maintain routine items such as toilet paper and concession stocking. Simpson said he will incorporate agreed clarifications in the draft and circulate it for execution. The council then moved and voted to adopt the field-user and donation agreements.
