The Northwest Volusia Little League requested the item be tabled after a planned donor backed out of funding for lights. Town Attorney Scott Simpson said he had not seen part of the league's correspondence until late because the email had initially been sent to the wrong address; league representatives subsequently asked for a table so staff and the attorney could make the agreed changes.
Council members asked the attorney to prepare the revised contract; staff indicated they would make the changes and return the matter to the council at the second meeting this month.
Outcome: motion to table was carried, with staff and the town attorney assigned to update the draft agreement.
