The commission voted to approve a staff recommendation to annex parcel 482100000016 into the town of Pearson and to forward three ordinances to the town council to change the parcel’s future land use and zoning.
Town Planner Rebecca Connell explained the property is currently in the county and hosts an existing car repair business and several accessory structures; the annexation and zoning changes would validate the current use and allow the business to operate lawfully under town zoning. She said portions of the site that are undisturbed would remain under conservation designations while disturbed areas would be designated heavy commercial/industrial.
Commissioners moved and seconded motions to annex the parcel (ordinance 2025-10) and to change future land use and zoning (ordinances 2025-11 and 2025-12). Chair Paul Martel called for voice votes on each motion; each was approved with the chair announcing the ayes had it. Staff will forward the ordinances to the council for final action.
