Committee approves technical consolidation of water statutes (S 1307)

Paul Arrington told the committee that S 1307 responds to a legislative code-cleanup mandate by repealing Idaho Code § 42-9 and consolidating its provisions into Idaho Code § 42-13, amending § 42-12, and making other targeted changes so necessary provisions continue in effect.
Senator Okuniewicz asked why the word "intent" appears in one subsection (42-1210(b)) but not in others; Arrington said the language was unchanged from existing code. The committee voted to send S 1307 to the floor with a do-pass recommendation on a voice vote.
