The events and recreation committee reported activities including an outdoor movie night by the flagpole with pumpkin decorating and candy, plans for a winter music series and continued work on 50th-anniversary programming. Monte's House rehab is scheduled to present at the Clubhouse on Nov. 9.
Kristen Wenger said the committee is working on the anniversary programming and community engagement events. James Walker presented communications metrics showing a 12-month email open rate of 73% (about 41% above the industry average) and said most opens are from desktop clients. Staff proposed a merchandise store accessible by QR code, with a target "to launch around Christmas week," James said, rather than holding inventory.
The board listed the merchandise store and 50th-anniversary event planning as action items to be carried forward.
