The board approved an updated Employee Handbook at the Sept. 21 meeting. Major changes discussed and adopted include instituting weekly pay periods, overtime eligibility after 40 hours, updated holiday policies, and a requirement to develop a procedure for account passwords. The handbook will be reviewed every three years by the association attorney and the executive director; the board retains a role in ad hoc review.
Kate Trinklein moved to accept the changes, Laura Powers seconded the motion, and the board approved the adoption. The minutes record the board’s agreement to have the attorney and executive director review the handbook on a three-year cycle and to make further updates as needed.
