Shaw told council he had reviewed attorney invoices and P&Z minutes and said the P&Z planner had told him no complaints had been received; Shaw alleged subsequent records indicate otherwise.
"Well, my name is Scott Shaw... I expressed concern over unethical withholding of information related to the monster mansion planned for 401 Diana," Shaw said. He referenced emails, attorney invoices (February 2025) and the April planning meeting transcript in support of his claim. Council and the town attorney repeatedly cautioned that matters involving pending litigation could not be discussed at the dais; the mayor said she would leave further action to the manager and town attorney.
Other public commenters at the meeting raised broader concerns about transparency and resident inclusion in planning processes. Council took no immediate action on Shaw's allegations during the meeting; staff and counsel indicated appropriate legal processes would guide any response.
