The Renew Town Hall team reported progress on Oct. 29, saying it engaged HP Cummings to review cost estimates and is preparing state pre-applications for access modification funding. A VCRD Access Mod pre-application is due Nov. 3, 2025; the full application would be due in January 2026. Town Manager Karen M. Astley said the team scheduled a consultant meeting and requested an air test of the building and a drone roof inspection because of a recent leak.
The memorandum noted key funding deadlines and amounts: Paul Bruhn grant funds must be spent by July 2026; ARPA funds of $200,000 must be spent by Dec. 2026; MERP funds of $402,500 must be spent by Dec. 2026. The team is exploring bond bank and USDA loan options and anticipates CEDS notification in December about additional funding.
