The Town of Juno Beach held the first public hearing on its proposed FY2025-26 millage and tentative general fund budget. Finance Director Emily told the council the town's rolled-back rate is 1.7219 mills and the proposed rate is 1.8195 mills — a 5.67% increase above the rolled-back rate.
Emily said the millage would generate $4,594,375 in budgeted ad valorem revenue and presented tentative revenues totaling approximately $10.64 million. "The proposed fiscal year 2025 to 2026 millage rate of 1.8195 is a 5.67% increase above the rolled back rate," Emily stated in the hearing.
After council discussion about individual budget items and whether certain items should be returned as separate agenda items, the council moved to adopt the tentative millage and the tentative FY2025-26 general fund budget (revised amount $10,645,492). Roll-call votes were unanimous for both the millage and the tentative budget; Emily noted the second public hearing is scheduled for Sept. 24, 2025 at 5:30 p.m.
