Town Manager Rob told the council that staff are planning a series of additional public engagement steps on the town's master development plan and urged residents to participate.
"I would encourage everyone in this room and out there watching from home to make plans on participating and and help the council to arrive at the best possible conclusions," Rob said, outlining a community survey, an invitational forum, and an interactive charrette as part of the next phase of outreach. He said staff is also arranging an on-site discussion with the Sea Oats Association.
Council members raised procedural concerns about whether motions from the last work session should be made at a regular meeting without additional public notice; several members said the topic requires more deliberation and possible a special meeting. Rob said staff will develop forum structure and materials and return with details so the council and residents can weigh options together.
