Town Manager Karen Astley tabled a social agency funding request during the Oct. 22 special meeting and recommended that appropriations be decided at Town Meeting, acknowledging the difficulties of different towns' approaches.
Selectboard member Aileen Tulloch asked that agencies seeking appropriations be placed on a future agenda so they can petition the board; Astley noted some towns treat appropriations as budget line items while others use petition processes. The board did not take action; staff will schedule follow-up and clarify the town's appropriations process ahead of next year's Town Meeting.
The Selectboard was also reminded that the Selectboard annual report for the Town Report is due.
