Reynolds accepted the honor and thanked colleagues and supervisors by name, including Rick Meyer and Lee Jones, and said she plans to retire in April 2027. "It is truly an honor to be nominated, much less awarded this honor," Reynolds said, and she thanked staff who supported her throughout her tenure. The council and audience gave Reynolds a round of applause.
