D. Carlton reported that inspections at the Kiowa Water Plant uncovered a filter media issue that requires cleaning the clear well; he added that chlorine levels were ‘‘clear.’’ The board discussed the finding and on a motion by D. Drake, seconded by M. Sexton, voted to proceed with necessary filter repairs.
The motion authorizes staff to contract or schedule the work required to restore filter performance. The board recorded the vote in open session after a preceding inspection report identified the problem and recommended remedial work.
