J. Wilson reported to the council that the Police Department logged 703 contacts, 51 calls for service, 14 impounds and 13 releases for the month; he also said patrol vehicle video systems were updated and now include automatic triggers for body cameras. J. Wilson later announced an open house for the new police building with First Bank providing refreshments.
The council also approved a request from the Fire Department to place a water gauge/meter to determine water usage after a motion by D. Drake and seconded by T.S. Barker. The minutes state the meter should provide complete accountability of water use.
