After a closed executive session held under Title 25 O.S. Section 307(B)(1) to discuss employment matters, the board re-convened and approved a pay increase for employee Leea Shows. On a motion by M. Sexton and seconded by J. Ray the board approved raising Shows' hourly pay by $1.00 retroactive to Jan. 9, 2026, and an additional $1.00 retroactive to Feb. 26, 2026, for a total increase of $2.00 to $17.00 per hour.
Leea Shows later spoke during the public discussion period and reported that the Family Dollar store in town is closed and that its trash account remains open with the city. The minutes show the personnel action and the public comment as separate items; no additional detail about the executive-session discussion was recorded in open minutes beyond the approved compensation changes.
