Mayor Lietz updated trustees on recruitment for a second administrative position and told the board she has paused active hiring. She said the town has received 12 applications but prefers to wait until April; she directed Heather Jenkins to close the Indeed posting. "They would not like to work with current town administration," Lietz said when discussing applicant feedback.
Trustees acknowledged the staffing strain; Town Clerk Travis Boyd later described performing the work of "2½ people" in roughly 32 hours a week and several trustees said additional hiring and cross-training are needed. Mayor Lietz also said she is accepting applicants for Town Clerk and Administrative Assistant positions going forward.
