He reported year‑to‑date income of $1,055,538 against expenses of $869,249, leaving a net of about $186,289.
Dan attributed part of the improved figures to one‑time recoveries and corrections, citing a $20,000 payment from the Department of Transportation and several recovered charges that had been missing from prior years. "We found the city was due income and it came in," Dan said, adding that those recoveries mitigated many current‑year expenses. Council members praised staff for the clarity of the packet and color‑coded layout that highlighted favorable and unfavorable variances.
