Council member John said he favored putting the town on record opposing the portions of SB 180 that limit municipal authority and requested a resolution for the next meeting rather than spending local dollars to join litigation.
Council reached consensus to ask staff and counsel to prepare a resolution expressing support for municipalities that have joined the litigation and to call on the legislature to amend SB 180, but the town will not commit funds to join the suit.
