City Manager Jamie Booth summarized the budget changes: committee review produced roughly 78 line adjustments and the amended general fund reduces the draw on reserves from about $70,000 to approximately $62,000. The budget-and-finance committee recommended the amendment and the council approved Resolution 2026-10 amending the fiscal-year 2025–26 budget.
Council then approved the formal grant agreement that obligates the city to the $200,000 flood vulnerability grant and defines deliverables and reimbursement procedures. Booth identified Chenmore & Associates as the engineering firm leading the study and noted kickoff meetings have already occurred; the agreement allows the city to invoice the state as deliverables are completed.
Councilers asked for line-item clarifications and discussed staffing and part-time positions considered during the midyear review; the amendment passed on a voice vote.
