Council voted to give the manager authority to execute a contract not to exceed $25,000 and included direction to secure refund or cancellation language in case a burn ban prevents the event.
Members also discussed potential county or Tourist Development Council (TDC) support for larger events that draw non-resident visitors and asked staff to explore grant or marketing offsets where feasible.
