Town Manager Karen Astley provided a series of operational updates Aug. 6. She said Parkman Wood Road culvert replacement is scheduled to commence the week of Aug. 25–29, 2025. Astley reminded residents that the first installment of property taxes is due Aug. 15, 2025 and that the office will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. "First installment of property taxes are due next Friday August 15, 2025. The office will be open from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm," Astley said.
Astley reported that auditors were in Putney for three days and staff expect a draft audit by October. She said the Town is researching alternative plans for a zoning administrator given anticipated higher hours if draft zoning and subdivision regulations are adopted; one subdivision application is warned for the Development Review Board on Aug. 19. Astley also noted signage for Carol Brown Way was ordered July 23 and will be installed when delivered, and reminded the board that a personnel-policy draft and traffic-ordinance posting are on the near-term agenda.
