The Putney Fire Department provided its monthly report (July 23–Aug. 18), which the Town Manager attached to the meeting packet. The report listed incidents: 10 EMS calls, three automatic fire alarms, nine motor-vehicle accidents, one car fire and mutual-aid for a Dummerston structure fire. It also detailed training and equipment work.
Training highlights include combined Fire/EMS sessions, EMS training on special populations, fire training on forcible entry and ladder operations, and six members enrolled in a Firefighter 1 certification program at the Vermont Fire Academy beginning in September. Equipment maintenance included annual flow tests for 20 self-contained breathing apparatus units and replacement of 600 feet of 4-inch supply hose on the tanker truck. The report notes AEDs for town buildings are in and installation is in progress.
