The Renew Town Hall committee has received construction-management proposals and is evaluating them as it advances the Town Hall renovation project. Town Manager Karen Astley told the Selectboard that two construction-management firms conducted walk-throughs and that proposals received on Aug. 18, 2025 are under review. The committee also extended its contract with North Hill Solutions through a REDI grant for an additional 30.2 hours not to exceed $3,500.
Astley highlighted funding constraints and deadlines for key grants: Paul Bruhn grant funding must be spent by July 2026; American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds of $200,000 must be spent by December 2026; and MERP funds of $402,500 must be spent by December 2026. The committee’s next tasks include supplying additional documents for the CEDS & RPP submission, contracting with a construction manager to define cost estimates, and beginning design-development work for windows, doors and the building envelope.
