Putney Selectboard authorizes Town Manager to make offers on two properties after executive session
Summary
After an executive session Aug. 6, the Putney Selectboard authorized the Town Manager to make a 2025 tax-exemption offer for 123 Main Street and to offer parcel 03-02-35 to Harold Dimmick for $7,500. Motions were moved by Aileen Tulloch and seconded by Peg Alden and passed.
The Putney Selectboard voted Aug. 6, 2025 to authorize the Town Manager to make two property offers following a closed executive session. Aileen Tulloch moved to "authorize the Town Manager to make an offer of the 2025 Year Tax Exemption to purchase the property at 123 Main Street," and Peg Alden seconded; the motion passed.
The board also approved a motion to authorize the Town Manager to offer parcel 03-02-35 to Harold Dimmick for $7,500; that motion was likewise moved by Tulloch and seconded by Alden and passed. The executive session, entered under 1 V.S.A. § 313(a)(1) (contracts) and (2) (real-estate negotiations), began at 6:24 p.m. and ended at 7:20 p.m., according to the minutes. The board took action immediately after exiting the closed session. The motions do not record individual roll-call vote totals in the minutes; each motion is noted as "Motion passed."
