Commissioner says grant research forwarded to grants team; staff will post correspondence online

Commissioner Gideon told the committee he researched a federal grant for which the city appears eligible and said he had shared the proposal with the council. Assistant City Manager Tamara Benz confirmed council forwarded the information to the grants management team and that the grants department will evaluate the material for fiscal year 2026–27.
Benz also addressed public requests to see submitted correspondence: she said correspondence will be posted with a forthcoming update to the city charter page and that staff will share documents with the committee when items are agendized. "All of the correspondence that has been received and will be received... will be posted with a subsequent post on our city charter page," she said.
