Capital improvements committee takes Resolution 2639 off the table and forwards funds request for courtroom audio/technology upgrades

The Capital Improvements Committee voted unanimously to take Resolution 2639 (an expedite request) off the table and forward it to full council. Cliff Bridal of the municipal court said the court has set aside capital-improvement funds to upgrade audio and technology in all three courtrooms but needs the committee to appropriate the money to complete the work.
"We had money set aside in order to take care of all 3 programs the way that we want to take care of them... It's money that we already have. It's just not appropriated," said Cliff Bridal, identifying the request as a transfer/appropriation from the court's capital improvements fund. Committee members asked clarifying questions about timing and whether funds had already been spent; Bridal clarified the work was underway but the appropriation was needed to finish the project. The committee voted 5–0 to bring the resolution off the table and to forward it to full council.
