The board voted to adopt multiple bundles of revised school board policies across chapters 2 through 8. Items included updates to board governance and organization, school administration (including safe and secure schools), curriculum and instruction (including virtual instruction and extracurricular participation), student records and athletics, human-resources policies, business-services policies (grant management and payment acceptance), and auxiliary-services rules such as emergency drills.
Each chapter's set of revisions was moved, seconded, and approved by voice vote with unanimous support. The board indicated these updates mainly reflect statutory changes, implementation practices, and administrative clarifications. Board members and staff underscored the need to continue reviewing large contracts and areas such as school safety in workshops to provide transparency about major expenditures.
