The Selectboard approved plans to decommission and remove sidewalks that had not been maintained in many years. The board directed removal of a small section by Blue Seal, the entirety of Dewey Street sidewalks, and a small section on Elm Street; Selectman Alan Fletcher moved for removal and the motion passed unanimously.
The board also finalized placement of new speed bumps: one set on Green Avenue, one set on North Avenue and two sets on Center Street. The board asked TA Marissa to consult with Jason on placement of additional sets.
Separately, the Selectboard approved a quote from Mountain View Autobody & Sign Design totaling $813 to provide five T-shirts and two sweatshirts for each highway employee and the custodian as an interim uniform solution while TA Marissa investigates the cost difference between renting and buying uniforms.
