Staff announces boards tour July 30 and zoning ordinance update coming Sept. 3

Planning staff told the commission about a boards-and-commissions tour July 30 (dinner 5:00–5:30 p.m., leave City Hall at 5:30) and said a comprehensive zoning ordinance update presentation will be scheduled for Sept. 3; commissioners were asked to mark calendars.
Planning Division staff reported a short calendar and program update at the July 23 meeting. Staff said the boards‑and‑commissions tour is scheduled for Thursday, July 30, with dinner provided at City Hall from about 5:00 to 5:30 p.m. and departure at 5:30 p.m. Commissioners were asked to meet at City Hall.
Staff also said the Planning Division and city staff will present a comprehensive update on the zoning ordinance at the commission—s Sept. 3 meeting and will also brief the DEI and sustainability commissions. "So if you are interested in that, mark your calendar for September 3," the presenter said. The items were informational only and did not require formal action.
