Flint Hills Discovery Center announces Builder's Bash with free youth admission sponsored by Midwest Concrete Materials

Sally Drier, curator of education at the Flint Hills Discovery Center, promoted an upcoming Builder's Bash event tied to the center’s current exhibit, Building Buddies. Drier said youth admission for the event will be sponsored by Midwest Concrete Materials from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and that the first 300 youth who attend will receive a free book.
Drier said the event will include a 'touch a truck' area outside and hands-on construction activities across the first and second floors. She listed about 16 to 17 community partners expected to participate, naming K-State engineering groups, McAllen Gordon, BHS Construction and BBN Architects among others. Drier encouraged community attendance and highlighted the educational opportunities for youth that tie directly to the exhibit.
