Aaron Stewart offered a construction update from the SECO site, reporting visible progress across the project footprint. He said turf has been installed on all four fields and personnel are laying infill; a center building housing concessions, a flex room and restrooms — with a view deck on top — is built; lighting systems, dugouts and fencing are nearing completion; and crews are installing irrigation for a natural sod outfield with sod to be laid in the coming weeks.
“We’re remaining on time and on budget,” Stewart said. He gave schedule targets of April 2026 for opening the ball field complex and fall 2026 for opening the tennis complex, noting that tennis demolition occurred earlier in the project and that site work for the tennis phase will increase in the coming months. Stewart also said the warm-up area is in place and other finishing work remains as crews complete final systems and landscaping.
Stewart described the timeline and immediate next steps at the site, including completing irrigation and laying sod for the natural outfield. He framed the update as a progress report and said another update would be provided in the future.
