Mayor says county better off approving Clearwater Solar Storage abatement given SB 117

The mayor reported on a county-provided property-tax analysis for the Clearwater Solar Storage Project and said that, after meeting with county staff and reviewing Senate Bill 117, he believes the county is better off approving the abatement.
"The county's better off with the abatement than without it because of that senate bill," the mayor said after discussions with county staff and a presentation by Bob Lee. He said the county will prepare a resolution to approve the abatement and that the city received a handout from the county commissioners explaining the fiscal impacts.
Council members discussed the analysis briefly and agreed to accept the mayor's reporting and distribute the county handouts for members to review.
