Planner: 90% wastewater plans revised; easements moved to rear to reduce business disruption

Mark Krit, the town planner, told the council on June 17 that staff and consultants reviewed 90% plans for the wastewater collection system and wastewater treatment-plant RFP and provided comments.
Krit said easement adjustments were proposed to serve businesses from the rear of buildings (closer to connection points) to reduce disruption, and survey work and revised easement letters would follow. He also confirmed a health-department walkthrough of the new water plant was scheduled the next morning and said the town will seek loan estimates and request bids for plant construction and operation after final plan updates.
Krit said staff would discuss plant operation costs with CWS to estimate annual operating charges once plans are complete; the 90% plans and related comments will proceed through permitting before returning to council for decisions on financing and contracting.
