Sharon DRB allows State septic plan to be filed in records; final mylar must show well and actual septic

John Roe convened the Sharon Development Review Board (DRB) special meeting on April 29, 2026 at 6:35 PM to reconsider conditions on the Rodewald 2026 subdivision reapplication.
The board focused on whether a proposed replacement septic system needed to be mapped directly on the final mylar. After noting that surveyor Rob Townsend had expressed hesitations about including the replacement septic on the mylar, the DRB determined that requiring the submittal of the State-approved septic plan to the Planning Administrator would sufficiently document the locations of the replacement septic system, the existing septic system and the proposed well for the DRB record.
Andrew Cliburn moved to amend the Rodewald 2026 Subdivision Reapplication conditions to: (a) require submission of the State-approved septic plan showing the actual septic and proposed replacement to the Planning Administrator for filing in DRB records; and (b) require that the final mylar show the well location and show the actual septic system as an "x" with the word "approximate" removed. Dana Colson seconded the motion, which the board approved unanimously; the transcript records the outcome as "Motion approved unanimously" but does not list an individual vote tally.
Visitor Jenny Sweet-McDonnell confirmed that the most recent physical copy of the mylar in her possession complies with the amended conditions: it includes the well location, does not include the replacement septic system, and shows the actual septic system location marked with an "x" in place of the word "approximate."
The board closed the DRB session and adjourned at 7:01 PM. The amendment will be reflected in the DRB records when the Planning Administrator files the State-approved septic plan as required.
