Town outlines schedule for 250th celebration: concerts, duck derby and park rededication

The Chair reviewed the town's 250th celebration events, highlighting multiple community gatherings at East Granby Farms and other local venues. She said a concert is scheduled tomorrow evening at East Granby Farms with an approximate 6:30 p.m. start, and noted a final "blast of summer" concert on Friday, August 21 from 6 to 8 p.m., followed by a 20-minute fireworks display beginning about 8:40–8:45 p.m.
The Chair also described plans for Sunday, September 13: the Duck Derby and expanded community festivities under the East Granby Community Day banner, including a ribbon cutting ceremony for the revitalized Granbrook Park to be led by the Lions Club. These items were announced for residents to plan attendance during the summer and early fall celebration schedule.
