Sherburne approves $7,000 migration of city GIS data to ArcGIS Online

City staff told the council that Bolton Bank will decommission the city’s hosted GIS mapping application in March 2027 and proposed migrating the existing data to ArcGIS Online.
"The total project cost is $7,000 which includes 3 utility editing applications," the clerk said. Staff said the migration would create a web‑based mapping application for staff use, training would be provided, and the city already has an ArcGIS Online subscription for its lead service line inventory so there are no additional licensing fees for that portion of the work.
Councilors asked about adding features such as photographed curb stops, hydrant flushing logs and street‑sign inventories. Staff said additional editing applications can be added for roughly $1,500 per utility. The migration was described as a 12‑week project and a motion to approve the proposal carried by voice vote.
