Fire Marshal reports 69 inspections in June; no fire incidents

The Litchfield Fire Marshal reported 69 inspections in June, nine open-burning permits and one blasting permit; there were no smoke-detector installations, no fire incidents and no fire investigations for the month. The report notes that the June 27 fireworks event occurred without incident and that the 262 Milton Road dry hydrant is complete.
The Fire Marshal update also states that P. Scully completed the code portion of his certification in May and that Fire Marshal Dave Rogers is working with a Sourcewell vendor through Fast Lane Emergency Vehicles to purchase a new fire marshal’s vehicle. All June data were reported to NERIS. The Board moved to accept the Fire Marshal report; the motion passed unanimously.
