Lakeland approves three-year cybersecurity services agreement with Optiv for continuous monitoring

Alex Landback (City Attorney's Office) presented a statement of work with Optiv Security for managed cybersecurity monitoring, detection, and response services. The SOW covers 24/7 monitoring and incident response and includes professional services to strengthen the city’s cybersecurity posture. The first-year cost is $136,986 (funded in the IT FY26 budget); years two and three are $114,046 each, for a total not to exceed $365,078.
Landback said the procurement was approved through a cooperative Omnia Partners contract (a piggyback) and that the statement of work would be governed by that contract in case of conflict. Commissioners approved the statement of work and authorized staff to execute the corresponding documents.
