Matt Fowler, Water Utilities Engineering Manager, told commissioners the design is expected to take about six months and construction "less than 1 year to install" depending on conflicts found during field investigations. The project follows citizen reports that led staff to discover aging and some lead gooseneck connections in places; staff said the work will also add hydrants to improve fire protection in the area.
